How it works

  1. Sign up with an email address. No card, no OpenAI account, no API key. The 30 credits land in your wallet when the account is created.
  2. Spend them at 1K first. 1K Standard is 3 credits; 4K High is 40 — more than the whole welcome balance. At 1K the 30 credits buy roughly ten attempts at learning what the model does with your prompts. Explore cheap, finish expensive.
  3. Decide afterwards, not before. When the credits are gone, nothing happens automatically — no charge, no trial ending. Packs start at $9 for 180 credits if you want more, and there are monthly and annual plans if you generate regularly.

What to put in the prompt

Do not burn credits on vague prompts. A prompt with no light, no lens and no setting will cost you the same 3 credits as a good one. Spend thirty seconds writing before you spend three credits generating.

Start from the library. Every prompt in the library below is shown with the image it produced. Starting from one that already works is the cheapest way to learn what this generation responds to.

Keep the first runs at 1K. Composition, lighting and framing are all visible at 1K. Resolution is the last decision, not the first.

Failed generations come back. If a generation fails, the credits are returned. You are paying for images, not for attempts that never arrived.

Questions

Is it really free, or is it a trial that charges me later?

There is no card on file, so there is nothing that can be charged. When the 30 credits are spent, generation stops until you choose to buy more. That is the whole mechanism.

How many images is 30 credits?

About ten at 1K Standard (3 credits each), five at 2K Standard (6 each), or one at 2K High (24). Reference photos add 3 credits each and very long prompts add a small surcharge, so a run with a reference costs more than the base figure. The exact cost is quoted before every generation.

Are the free credits limited to a worse model?

No. Flare and Sunburst cost the same number of credits, and free credits spend on either. There is no reduced-quality free tier — the difference between free and paid here is how many images, not which model.

Do I get more free credits later?

The 30 credits are a one-time welcome grant per account, not a recurring allowance. We would rather tell you that up front than have you plan around a refill that is not coming.
