ShimmerPic charges for GPT Image 2.5 in credits. The credit price of an image depends on resolution and quality only — Flare and Sunburst cost the same — and the dollar price of a credit depends on how you buy them. This page does the arithmetic so you do not have to.

Two small additions: each reference photo adds 3 credits, and prompts longer than 500 bytes add 2 credits per further 1,000 bytes. The quote is fixed before you generate; nothing is charged afterwards.

Annual plans are priced at ten months ($90, $190, $390, $790) and release the same monthly credits each month. Pack credits never expire; plan credits are valid for 90 days from the month they are issued, and the oldest are used first.
Cost per image, worked out
Using the two ends of the table — the $9 pack at 5.0¢ per credit and the Pro plan at 2.4¢:

So a working range of 7 cents to $2 per image, with most exploration happening at the cheap end. A reference photo adds 15¢ on the $9 pack, 7¢ on the Pro plan.
The free credits
Every new account starts with 6 credits: two 1K Standard images on either model. That is enough to see whether a prompt from the library does what you want before buying anything.
What is not on the price list
- No unlimited tier. Each image costs what the table says.
- No per-model surcharge. Sunburst is slower than Flare, not dearer.
- No post-hoc billing. The byte estimate for long prompts is a conservative fixed quote, not a true-up against provider usage.
- Failed generations are refunded to the same credit batch they were taken from. A prompt rejected by the input safety check is not charged at all.
Refunds in plain terms
A first subscription can be refunded in full within 14 days if none of its credits have been used. One-time packs are refunded manually against confirmed unused credits. Details are on the refund policy and the pricing page.
